What is the first meal you ever cooked?
I started cooking when I was very young, so I may not remember the very first meal that I prepared. One dish that fascinated me was Beef Fondue and I would make it for family. I remember creating a dipping sauce with Dijon mustard and another with mayonnaise and garlic. It was always a big hit and pretty fussy stuff for a kid to prepare.
I will never eat:
Escargot (it’s a textural thing) or chicken brains and feet. I know eating every part of the chicken is the cool thing to do right now, but no thanks.
If you had to blog about one ingredient every day for a year, what would it be?
Chicken. I think it is the most versatile protein and it lends itself to almost any method of preparation, flavor, or spice.
What’s your favorite restaurant and what do you order there?
I am fortunate enough to travel quite a bit and dine with and interview some of the best chefs in the country, but in Atlanta, it is Tamarind Seed and I always order Green Curry with Chicken, the spicier, the better.
