I had a collection of all the issues of Gourmet Magazine since 1986, and when I moved in the fall of 2009 I threw them in a dumpster. Next thing I knew, a couple of days later, is that Gourmet would cease to exist … I was stunned !
I miss my hard copies so much!!!. Gourmet was the greatest magazine ever, with no equivalent anywhere in the World, and I really wish whoever owns the copyrights issued a CD/DVD copy of all issues, just like National Geographic did a few years ago. The web is ok, but no substitute to the real thing where you can browse…and find new ideas/recipes/stories without necessarily looking for something in particular…Besides, not every recipe and article can be found on the Gourmet/Epicurious web site, however convenient it is!
